June 05 whenWhen the North Winds blow west
Lost within an illusion, fishing net at hand Lost within your dreams, a far off distant land Living life of fantasy’s for fear of changing sands Praying upon thy knees, that the fish will surely stand
Feeling lost and lonely, friends have long been gone No one to share the pain for their off in that far off land Hesitating reality, now the air is growing cold The fear of failure sets in as the North Winds start to blow
Shattered dreams within the night, when water caps begin to fight Empty thoughts upon the day for there’s no fish within thy bay Faith and hope mere words that seem so far away There’s nothing left to do but give up and move away
If with faith we’d we get to stay and fish the bay of plenty To frolic and play like the olden days,
With angelic faces and constant smiles When friends came for tea and stayed awhile
Dig down deep within your soul, and find the stories that grandpa told Find thy self that wants to grow upon this given land Give and ear and land a hand to help thy Nabors stand And when the North winds blow west, live within your dreams of yesterday when fishing was at best.
